Meet Dr. Christine Smith

I want people to leave feeling like they’ve learned how to improve their life and found community, versus coming for a treatment of some sort. Everyone needs a space where they can be supported for who they are, while working towards their goals.

Education

I started my journey to holistic healthcare through receiving a Bachelor of Science with a double major in Biology & Psychology and a specialization in Cognitive Neuroscience at the University of Denver in Denver, CO. Between undergraduate and graduate school, I worked in multiple research labs, a neurodevelopmental and occupational therapy clinic, and worked for non-profits in South America, Africa and Asia focused on community health education, economic empowerment and medical inpatient care. These experiences helped me broaden my mind to not only what is possible in the healing arts, but what health truly is across all cultures and people.

Working in multiple integrative wellness clinics with various types of practitioners, I got the chance to observe wait lists of patients who had been struggling with their health for years improve dramatically under chiropractic care with a focus in integrative care and functional nutrition.  I obtained my Doctor of Chiropractic from Life Chiropractic College West in Hayward, CA because of the way I would be educated to think about what true health is, and the type of personalized care I would have the freedom to provide. I am continually furthering my education; this has included many different courses such as:

  • Certifications
    • Professional Applied Kinesiologist - Specializing in holistic healthcare
    • Certified Brain Health Professional through The Amen Clinics
    • Webster Certified for Perinatal Chiropractic Care

Personal

I regularly participate in service trips providing care to communities in need. I believe everyone deserves the chance to reconnect with the amazing intelligence and healing capacity of their body and mind.

In my free time, I am an avid outdoor sports enthusiast. I worked in the snow sports industry for over a decade and volunteered as medical rescue for The Dew Tour. As a once competitive snowboarder, I had the experience of healing from my own injuries and learned the power of regenerative fitness programs in getting the body back to a state of living fully.

Hiking and biking are my regular go-tos and I love to rock climb as well. Traveling is my other love as I believe cultural variety is what makes the world rich. Any other time is spent with family and self-educating as a lifelong learner.
